Golf Tournaments at Ginn Resorts

With golf being the central amenity at all Ginn Resorts, it’s no surprise that Ginn Reunion Resort is home to championship tournament play. In addition to the Ginn Open held at Ginn Reunion Resort, Ginn Resorts also operates the following golf tournaments at other locations - The Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika Sorenstam at RiverTowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; two PGA Champions Tour stops - the ACE Group Classic at Quail West in Naples, Florida, and The Ginn Championship at the Ocean Course at Ginn Hammock Beach in Palm Coast, Florida and the Ginn sur Mer Classic, a PGA TOUR event that will be played at the Conservatory at Ginn Hammock Beach in October 2008.

Ginn OPEN
The inaugural Ginn OPEN, played in 2006, was touted as one of the hottest new tournaments on the 2006 LPGA schedule. Forty-nine of the game’s top 50 players on the 2005 money list competed for a prize purse of $2.5 million. Country music’s dynamic duo Brooks & Dunn headlined the tournament at Ginn Reunion Resort. The prize purse for the 2007 tournament was increased to $2.6 million and attracted 47 top LPGA pros. The 2007 Ginn OPEN tournament was recorded as one of the best LPGA finishes on record. Brittany Lincicome emerged as the Ginn OPEN’s champion after beating Lorena Ochoa and Laura Davies by one and two strokes respectively. The 2008 Ginn OPEN is scheduled for April 2008.
